Hello May! Hello Beautiful Friends!
Life has had me going in a million different directions. I am sure you know how that goes. As much as I have wanted to sit and write it seems like there has been no time.
I thought I would catch you all up on some of the crazy that has been going on here at our castle.
1. Guess who FINALLY lost his first tooth?!
I am amazed and thankful for the opportunities that have come my way since that post. I love being able to encourage other woman to exercise and get healthy. I knew I loved it but honestly I didn't know I loved it this much.
3. Guess who got his first haircut?! He didn't move the entire time! So sweet.
4. I miss my van-- Chalk that one up as something I NEVER thought I would say. It has been in the shop for a week and seriously I find myself missing that darn thing. What has my life come to?!
5. My little sister is pregnant with a baby boy! YAY!
We are sooo excited I can't wait to get my hands on him!
6. I feel like Facebook should be called Fakebook.
Maybe it's just me but lately I feel like people are so fake. I know, probably not the nicest thing I have ever said but seriously I just can't handle it.
7. I have been wrestling with a decision on whether or not to put my sweet Cole in speech therapy. Oh Mercy-- it has been waying so heavy on my heart. For now, I am waiting but goodness I hope I am making the right decision.
8. In a little over a month we are headed back to the beach.
The last time we were there was two years ago. I seriously can't wait.
9. I have been preparing all week for this man to be leaving on a jet plane for Texas. After all the planning, worrying and stress-- his work trip was cancelled. So thankful to have him home.
10. I am really trying to slow down. I feel like I am always in a hurry. As you can see life has me going crazy and honestly it feels so good to just sit down, sip on my coffee and take a deep breath.
I have so missed all of you I would love to hear what has been going on in your life. So, now it's your turn....

It's hard to juggle it all, isn't it? I'm right there with you! Sometimes I feel pulled in so many directions I feel like I'm not doing one things well. Do working fathers feel that way? Does it weigh down their heart? I don't know. All I know is that I'm in a constant state of trying to focus on progress rather than perfection. And it's a good thing because I'm struggling just to stay afloat! I wish women in general would be more honest about just how hard it is...then the constant comparing ourselves to others would soften and people wouldn't feel the need to present a perfect life on Facebook! Internet is all wacked out so no pictures can post on my blog. I even let that get to me and I shouldn't. I think the serenity prayer is a good prayer for every day. Accepting the things we cannot control and changing the things that we can. SO proud of you for sticking out zumba! Your boys are growing!! The beach is JUST what you need! And congrats on being an aunt again!
ReplyDeleteBrenda I love that you said," focus on progress rather than perfection"! I need that tattooed on my forehead! So I don't forget it. You are such an encouragement to me and I just really appreciate you!
DeleteWow! Lots going on. One nephew and niece have gone through speech therapy. It was a huge benefit for them and made a world of difference. And guess what? They both really enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is away this week for the 4th time in less than two months, so I feel your anxiety! Glad the trip was cancelled.
Tiffany~ 4 TIMES?!?!? Oh. my.... Girl you are a good wife and mom. I was flipping out at first when I thought he was leaving. I know he is going to have to start leaving every now and then for his job. I think I am going to have to get some tips from you on how you do it!! Hope your having a great week!!
DeleteMaria, we have experience with Speech therapy. GREAT results. :) Get a hold of me if you want to hear about it. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Emily!
DeleteSuch fun things happening in your family. I'm still waiting on my little one's tooth... he's almost 7!!! Vans are awesome!! :) I thought my youngest might need speech therapy, but it was just some "baby talk" he grew out of. I think it's always good to get professional opinions, though. I hope your beach trip is awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda~ 1) My Brady is 7 and we were beginning to think he would never lose a tooth! ha! 2) I am just praying that maybe Cole is a late bloomer. He is the third and pretty much gets what he wants before he has to even try to say it {which is part of the problem}! 3) Hope your family is having a great week!!
DeleteWow! I guess it's easy to have a full schedule with that many boys around. We are about to start speech therapy with our baby girl, but it's actually more of a language pathology :( We just found out that she is hard of hearing and is about to have two hearing aids (I have yet to announce this on my blog, it's still so fresh I need a little time). On a lighter side I have several friends whose children where just delayed in a very typical way and the therapy helped a ton.
ReplyDeleteIt has been crazy! Are you kidding me? Praying like crazy for you and your sweet baby girl. I am sure it will take time to process but I am looking forward to hearing about your journey and how the Lord uses you and your sweet girl to help others!!! Thankful that Jesus has the perfect plan for her and this is just part of it.
