Clothing Swap.

                                                                                                    Source: tumblr.com via Heather on Pinterest

How many of us have clothes in out closets that we don't wear or haven't worn in forever. I still have clothes from High School and a ridiculous amount of random sizes. I have kept clothes for when I am a bit chubby, clothes for when I am losing weight, before baby clothes, post baby clothes... it's insane. Then I complain about not having any clothes. Please tell me your closet looks the same?

Last night, I was out to dinner with a few girlfriends and they asked me if I was going to 'The Swap'? When I found out exactly what it was I was 100% in. Here is what it is... you gather your friends and their excess "stuff " for a fun and thrifty get-together. It allows you and your friends to clear out your closets, score some new finds, and have a party at the same time! Best part... it's FREE. So, I can leave with some fancy new clothes and it cost me ZERO dollars. Brilliant. Why I have I not been going to these parties for years?

So, the party is tomorrow and I am off to go find as many clothes in my closet as I can. My theory is if I haven't worn it in a year it's going in the swap! I can't wait to tell and show you all what I get. Please tell me if you have you ever been to a clothing swap before because friends I am just giddy about this?

Happy Friday and Happy Swapping!

What I Wore Wednesday {Flats vs. Boots}

Oh my is it really Wednesday? Is it just me or do the long weekends totally mess up your week. Thankfully, I did remember to keep out my camera this weekend just so I could link up with Lindsey. I did have a little help as you will see. I still am wearing the 'skinny' {make you look a little chunky} jeans. I love wearing them with my boots but this week I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and try to wear them with flats {eek}. Here goes nothing.

 Shirt~ Goodwill
Jeans~ Forever 21
Vest~ Forever 21
Flats~ Target
Boots~Steve Madden
Cute Photographer~ Mr. Brady Woodall

My sweet Brady decided he wanted to be the photographer. Of course I let him. He then decided he wanted a camera for his birthday. He made sure to let me know...
 "Not a kids camera Mom. I want a good one." He is most excited to be featured on this What I Wore Wednesday post. All of the big and little boys in this castle tease me for doing this every week. In fact, they made a song they sing everytime I get the camera out. It's pretty funny! They do make me smile and keep me very humble!
Back to the boots... I just can't part with the boots. I just feel at home when I am wearing them. {I know, that sounded ridiculous but it's the truth}
 So tell me if you had to choose are you a boots or a flats kinda girl?!

Fall Fashion

I can't believe we are only weeks away from scarfs, boots, crisp autumn air, the smell of cinnamon and pumpkins, running in the leaves and sitting all bundled up beside a fire. I'm so ready for it, are you?! This is by far my favorite time of year. One of the many reasons I love Fall is because of the fashion. Oh my:: It just makes me happy. I thought it would be fun to look at some of my favorite Fall outfits. I don't know about you but I do so much better looking at clothes and getting ideas when I see them on actual people. This is one of the million reason Pinterest is one of my main addictions.

Who's ready to go shopping? You might be surprised I actually am not a huge fan of shopping. I think I am to hard on myself and don't like the way a lot of the clothes look on me. Are you ever that way? However, I do LOVE getting fashionable ideas from other people {hence once again my love for Pinterest}. They make it look so easy! Don't ya think?! Ladies, here's to a fashionable, boot wearing, snuggling up by a fire kind of Fall!

You are my I Love You.

What a sweet reminder of what motherhood is all about.

When I read this it gave me chills. In the midst of the chaos it's easy to forget what being a mom is all about. What I love even more is that you can download this FREE 10×20 print that FrancyPants Academy designed! How great is that?! Hope you all are enjoying some down time with your families! Happy Labor Day, Friends!

So Long Summer...

Happy September, Sweet Friends!
As you already know most people have a daily habit-- a consistent ritual, good or bad. Maybe you're addicted to coffee in the morning {not so bad}, this blog {fabulous taste}, biting your nails {bad}, or addicted to Pinterest {great! We so relate!}.
Speaking of addictions--  I am off to get a {fountain} Diet Coke,
soak up the last few days of summer

and of course do a little sword fighting.
 {What's a long weekend without a good sword fight!?!}
Happy Friday!!!

What I Wore Wednesday {To Belt Or Not To Belt}

Hello to you pretty ladies! It’s another week of What I Wore Wednesday… I can hardly believe it! I’m linking up with Lindsey over at The Pleated Poppy. I am sure you already do too but if not hop over and see her WIWW post plus all of the fabulous ladies who participate. I would like to think I know a little bit about fashion but I have struggled with this belt situation. I LOVE belts {on other people} but I just feel like I either look pregnant or it just doesn't look right on me. So, this is why I need your help. To belt or not to belt that is the question?

Dress/Belt~ Target
Flower~ Forever 21
Boots~ Van Maur

What do you think? I actually haven't worn the belt {that came with the dress}. Thats why I needed you all to help me out. Are you a belt gal? Is there a trick that I am missing with this belt situation? Do tell. xoxoxoxo

Going to your local market is even better with these adorable burlap market bags. What I love even more is that these adorable bags were created by two gals who wanted to raise money to help local farmers in Alachua County, Fl.

Who doesn't love a banner? I love the way it makes the home feel so cozy. Especially with fall knocking at our door.

It is perfect to use as a table runner. It gives that little bit of extra vintage flair to what would have been a somewhat plain table.

Who knew you could actually print or use a sharpie on burlap? Unbelievable. Check out this fabulous tutorial if you want to learn how to make this.

Did you realize Christmas is in less than 120 days away. Oh my. Go ahead and add burlap to some of your fancy wrappings this year.
