YES. YES. YES.

Happy Monday, Friends!
It has been awhile since I have done one of my "YES" posts and well... I miss them.
How was your weekend? We have been crazy busy here at our castle.
Soccer has begun which means I will spend most of my weekends at a
soccer field watching my little men play.
I just have to tell you all that myself and two other girlfriends decorated a reception for a Bride yesterday. Oh my:: It was fabulous. Their is just something special about getting married and being involved in someone's wedding day. There is so much joy and anticipation. It gives me goose bumps just thinking about it. My two girlfriends, Melissa and Beth had no idea who the bride and groom were and yet worked so hard to make everything perfect. I am so grateful. Not gonna lie, it also made me want to start a Bridal Reception business. It's a good thing my husband isn't reading this right now.
 He would laugh at me!
Guess what? We are doing another wedding in August {eek} and if you want to stalk us a little you can. We set up a board on Pinterest. Feel free to add comments and give your input! It's going to be fabulous.
Burlap, Twine, Mason Jars... Be still my heart.

What if I just said yes? What if I just gave up stressing about or resisting what is {and what may be coming}? What if I choose to embrace it. To simply say YES.
This week I am saying yes....
... yes to giving my testimony at Zumba on Wednesday
... yes to being vulnerable and open
... yes yes yes to a Friday night date night!
... yes to watching my older boys play soccer
... yes to teaching a zumba class on Thursday
... I am saying yes to Jesus. yes to prayer
... yes to March Madness {I actually LOVE watching basketball this time of year}
... I am saying yes to laughing and simply enjoying my life
... I am saying yes to getting up before my boys
... I am saying yes to getting rid of this 5 extra lbs I am carrying
... yes to dancing & watching dancing with the stars. It's going to be a great season!
... yes to confidence
... yes to believing that "I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength"
So tell me, What are YOU saying yes to this week?

Spring

Happy First Day of Spring!
This morning as I woke up I could smell Spring. My favorite kind of weather is the bird chirping kind. The open your windows all day kind. The flip flops and painted toe nails kind. Oh Spring you are finally here! One of my favorite things about Spring is the beauty of it. The trees are all starting to bloom and it just makes my heart happy.

Spring reminds me of natures way of change and renewal. It's funny how our everyday life is the same way. We go through transitions, changes, new beginnings, things unknown yet it such a beautiful time if we let it be. Do you seek out to find beauty in your transitions or the unknowns going on in your life or do you worry and not embrace the journey? I challenge you to see the beauty in your 'place' in life right now.
Embrace it. Dance in it. Love it.

Nine Years And Counting.

Like most nights when you get home from work you stop to take your coat off, put your laptop down, hug our boys and go straight upstairs to change clothes. You always know the boys are waiting on you. I am waiting on you.

I stop.

I watched as you laughed with our boys, encouraged them and just play with them. No agenda. Nothing else on your mind but them.

Honestly, it has been a long time {too long} since I actually stopped, slowed down and noticed what an amazing dad and man you are.

It can be easy after 9 years and three kids later to stop noticing.
Life has us going a million miles an hour in a million different directions. We see each other but do we really see each other?

I want to really see you.
I want to see the way you love on our boys.
I want to see your quiet strength.
I want to see your passions.

I want to see you the way I saw you 9 years ago. No, actually I don't. Because 9 years ago I had no idea that you would be such an amazing father. I had no idea that together we would have three amazing boys. Together we would  serve the Lord. Together we would make some really hard decisions. Together we would learn how to love each, our boys and make our house a home.

I knew this ride was going to be crazy. What I didn't know is how much I not only wanted YOU but NEEDED you in my life for this life. You have walked with me through the hardest and best times of my life. I can't imagine taking this journey with anyone else.

All my love.

A Happy Heart

There are certain times as a mom you feel overwhelmed. Almost to the point of feeling like you don't deserve what has been given to you. Tonight for me was one of those nights. The boys and I had a little bit of a dance party before bedtime. This sounded great in theory but probably not my smartest move. Nothing like getting everyones blood flowing only to tell them it's time for bed.

My sweet Cole took his naked little body up the stairs. Yes, whenever he dances he takes his clothes off - diaper and all. He brings me to tears with his little moves. He's two so for now he can get away with being the naked dancer.

Every night before the boys go to bed we read a story out of their Bible. It has always been a neat time for our family. Tonight as I was walking up the steps I knew something wasn't right. They were really quiet. There was noone brushing their teeth. They weren't all three trying to stand on the same stool. They weren't trying to lock each other out of the bathroom or chase each other around upstairs. It was quiet. As I tip toed up the steps I heard something, that as a mom, I wont ever forget. The boys were snuggled into Brady's bed and Mason was reading Brady's Bible. I sat on the steps peaking through the door and watching Brady encourage and help Mason with some of the words he couldn't pronounce. I didn't want to disturb them so I just sat and listened. They laughed together as Mason said, "Holy chicken" instead of "Holy child." Oh. My. Heart.

Tonight my heart is full. There is no other place in this entire world I would rather of been then sitting on our steps listening to my boys read the Bible together. What a blessing it is that the Lord chose me to be these boys mom. I am so very grateful.

My cup runneth over.
{Psalms 23:5}
